Module 1: Regulations and responsibilities
This module presents the responsibilities of the different stakeholders as well as the legal requirements found in the Hazardous Material Regulations.
Module 2: Hazard Classes
This module presents the different WHMIS 2015 hazard classes. At the end of this module the candidate will understand the different classes of hazardous products and the risks inherent to each.
Module 3: Safety data sheet
This module presents the essential elements of the WHMIS 2015 safety data sheets. Following this module candidates will understand how to find and understand the information in an SDS.
Module 4: Labels
This module presents the labelling requirements of WHMIS 2015 including the supplier and workplace labels. At the end of each module, there will a short quiz to confirm knowledge. Candidates will have three chances to complete each quiz.

WHMIS has been in effect in Canada since 1988. It is the standard for communicating about the hazards of hazardous materials in the workplace.
In February 2015, WHMIS became WHMIS 2015 following the adoption of the Globally Harmonized System (or GHS). The transition period ended on December 1, 2018. Persons handling hazardous materials must therefore undergo WHMIS 2015 training.
